Dental office treatments are more expensive than do-it-yourself teeth whitening methods but they can be much more effective.

Keep in mind that hydrogen peroxide will not whiten teeth that have had previous dental work, including artificial teeth and fillings. This is because the peroxide cannot penetrate the surface layers to remove the stains.
